The Santa Rosa Plateau consists of five Property Owners Associations (POAs) and one Community Service District, representing approximately 2,500 homes. Our community is made up of large ranches, equestrian properties, and custom estates located within the wildland-urban interface, making wildfire and emergency preparedness a year-round priority.
Living on the Plateau means taking a proactive approach to protecting our families, animals, homes, and land. Our community works closely with Santa Rosa Plateau Firewise, CAL FIRE, the Riverside County Emergency Management Department, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, and other local agencies to promote wildfire readiness through defensible space, home hardening, evacuation planning, emergency alerts, and community education.
The recent fires in La Cresta are powerful reminder that preparation matters. It reinforced the importance of knowing your evacuation routes, signing up for multiple emergency notification systems, preparing your home and livestock, and having a plan before an emergency happens.
